The reason it is said as 10.0.0.1 (default gateway) because by default all the routers have 10.0.0.1 ip as the login address to the admin settings unless you change it or the ORMs change it for their device. By the way all the comcast routers have 10.0.0.1 as the default address to login into the router. If that dosen't works then try 192.168.1.1 .
Aug 15, 2019 · If a client device has an IP address in the 10.0.0.x range, like 10.0.0.2, then it means that the router is using a similar IP address, most likely 10.0.0.1. Some Cisco brand routers and Infinity routers supplied by Comcast commonly have 10.0.0.1 as their default IP address.
Sep 18, 2011 · I'm trying to access my modem's GUI through the default gateway address (10.0.0.1). I've tried all the default login/password combos that SMC uses for it's routers and modems but, apparently Comcast changes the login/passwords for it's xfinity models. I want to access it to tweak the TCP/IP and turn on the wireless functionality.Status: Resolved
