The Kit. The Academy 1/72 B-29 Superfortress kit has been out for quite a few years now, and it remains the best choice for this famous plane in this scale. Featuring recessed panel lines, a decent interior, and of course an open bomb bay, this kit will give you a good looking B-29 model.
Academy had produced a number of variants of the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, Consolidated B-24 Liberator, and the subject of today's first-look - the Boeing B-29 Superfortress. In those days, Monogram was producing similar subjects in 1/48th scale but 1/72 scale modelers were limited to the Airfix kits.
